The gamechanger called Opportunity

Most people tend to miss and misuse certain opportunity given to them. When you ask, some of them don't even know what is an opportunity. So today am going to give a short talk on opportunity.


An opportunity can be an opening. It could be a favourable circumstance or a suitable condition; a chance arising out of an accident; a big room to operate; a discovery of an avenue where you can profit or a favourable allowance.
An opportunity is taking advantage of an avenue that will work favourable for you. It could be in your business, your place of work or even your school. Opportunity is a great thing indeed. The best gift given to us are not material things but opportunity.
Your going to school or having a degree is not by chance but an opportunity. How you use such opportunity depends on you and you alone. Opportunity is most times lost through delibrations and procrastinations.
Opportunity waits for nobody, it is just like time it has no master and it answers to no one. Missing an opportunity is like the foolish man who is inside a canoe with a golden coin in his hand tossing it up and down forgetting that if it drops into the water it is gone forever.
Small opportunities are often the begining of great achievements. The only problem is that it knocks only once and if you do not make use of it, it is gone forever.
Opportunity will not send you a letter of introduction. It won't tell you when it will pay a visit it just appears out of the blue like a thief. This is why procrastination is a cemetery of opportunities. You are who you are today because of people you have met or missed. Many people have missed their opportunities, others aborted theirs, some wasted their opportunities. The bottomline is when you dismiss an opportunity you miss success.
